Set of ten bookplates featuring an original book curse, from our friends at Fleur & Fable.
Book curses, written initially in manuscripts in the Middle Ages to deter book thieves, threatened death, torture, or excommunication. The falling sickness in this book curse refers to epilepsy.
Printed with black and gold metallic ink, each bookplate is self-adhesive.
They are 66 x 90 mm in size and are presented in a string envelope.
Bookplates have been used to identify a book's owner since the 1400s and make a wonderful gift for a reader!
